The following are examples of student work from throughout the summer program of 1997.




An example of rotation using an array of colors to create a pinwheel.


In this drawing, the polygon at the center was rotated to create the eight different sketches around the original piece.


Based on the sketch above, the student came up with this final piece, entitled "the Game."


Dilation was used in this piece to give the drawing depth.


Starting with a circle and two perpendicular lines, the student used arcs to create a flowering effect.


In one of the first exercises, the students were asked to make a square using only curved lines. This student's solution uses arcs tangent to the imaginary lines of the square to create the illusion.
