Math: circles and arcs, circle radius/circumference/diameter and relations among, square as 4 sides, all equal, parallel and perpendicular, line as limit of curved sections (or vice versa), line as limit of curve with infinite radius/radius of curvature, definition of arc, by circle, by three points, curvature and straightness

Design: simplest shape, simplicity (how little do you need to recognize)/removing detail, sharpening (making differences more clear), marks and shapes (picture elements v perceptual elements), underlying structure (orientation, direction), levels of design: marks, shape, structure (structure later/another day)
